Peacefully situated in a quiet location accessed via a private driveway, The Old Stables is ideally located for exploring Dorset. Child Okeford is a pretty village with a well stocked village shop, a post office with tea room, farm shop with farmyard cafe, two pubs, and interesting walks on the doorstep. The market towns of Blandford and Shaftesbury are close by, and the rest of Dorset and its glorious countryside and coastline is within easy reach.

The cottage is a single storey converted stables. The accommodation comprises sitting room, study/dining room, kitchen, bathroom, cloakroom and two bedrooms. It has a very private and sunny, south facing terrace, and pretty garden.

Comfortably furnished with sofa & two armchairs, the sitting room faces south and has a set of french windows leading to the large terrace. Colour TV with built in Freeview,DVD Recorder and Playback, & music system.

The main bedroom has a double bed, hanging cupboard, two chests of drawers & bedside tables with lights. Bedlinen is provided. There is also a cot (bedlinen not provided).

The second bedroom has twin single beds, hanging cupboard, & small chest of drawers with bedside light. Bedlinen is provided.

The small, sunny, well-equipped kitchen is open plan to the entrance hallway.

Fitted with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle & toaster.

Table, 4 chairs, & bench.

The spacious bathroom is fitted with bath with overbath shower,sliding shower screen, washbasin, W.C., airing cupboard, and washing machine.

There is also a separate cloakroom with W.C. & washbasin.

The study/dining room faces south and has a set of french windows leading to the large terrace.

There is a bureau/desk, a drop-leaf dining table which can be pulled out, and a sofa.

The cottage is now fully booked for the summer of this year, 2010.
